Term Dates

Term 4 runs from Monday 12th October until Sunday 20th December (inclusive). This is a 10-week term.
There are no public holidays affecting Term 4.

Your enrolment will automatically rollover (same time, same teacher) unless you provide written notice that you will be discontinuing lessons or requesting to change your lesson time. The Term 4 calendar will be populated and invoices will be issued shortly (if not already). As always, every effort has been made to make sure your bookings and invoice are accurate - but please do not hesitate to contact me if something does not look right.

Saturday Afternoons with Polina

Polina now has vacancies on Saturday afternoons from 4pm. These will be off-peak slots. Email emma@allhandspianoacademy.com to book.

I made a silly error on the initial registration form for end-of-year recitals. At first, there was no field to enter your name.

[Reminder] Registrations for End-of-Year Recitals

Towards the end of Term 4, AHPA will host a series of small, intimate recitals onsite, with a grand piano moved into Studio 4 for the occasion. Each recital will feature around 10 performers plus a guest performance from one of our AHPA teachers.

Four dates are on offer — Saturday 28 November (5pm), Sunday 29 November (3pm), Saturday 5 December (5pm), and Sunday 6 December (3pm) — with each date confirmed once it reaches minimum registration numbers.

The participation fee is $44 per family (covering all performers in that family), with no extra ticket charge for audience members. As the venue is intimate, each performer may bring up to 4 audience members (babies and toddlers on laps don't count toward this).

Families can register their availability now via the form — scheduling requests and repertoire details will be collected closer to the date.

[Reminder] Clarity on Our Absence Policy

If you or your child will not be attending a lesson, please fill out our absence form. There is no reason to take any other action. If you contact me or Neon regarding the missed lesson, we will most likely just request that you fill out the form ☺️.

Whilst we make every effort to accommodate reschedule requests, and have been able to do so in almost all cases, AHPA is not obligated to reschedule or refund missed lessons, regardless of the notice given or the reason for the absence. This policy is documented clearly on our website, on our policy document, on invoices, on your contracts, and in the absence form. It exists to protect our teachers' time and income: clients are paying for a weekly slot reserved for the duration of the term, whether or not the student attends each lesson. Your teachers are not obligated to make extra trips to the studio to accommodate reschedules, though some are kind enough to do so.

We understand this policy can be frustrating when a lesson is missed for a genuine reason, and we're always happy to talk through options where we can. However, rudeness or abuse directed at our staff regarding this policy will not be tolerated, and will affect our ability to continue offering a place in our program.

Don't forget that anyone can subscribe to our fortnightly bulletins. If you want to loop a second parent or caregiver in, please encourage them to subscribe.

[Reminder] Refer-a-Friend Policy

Our refer-a-friend policy has changed, starting from this term.

From now on, you will receive a $10 discount (unlimited times), applied to your next invoice, every time a new client puts your name in the "how did you hear about us" box prior to purchasing a trial lesson. All you have to do is tell your friends to mention your name when signing up (send them here https://allhandspianoacademy.com/contact_us).
