Details, for those who like them πRegistrations for End-of-Year RecitalsWe are just ironing out some details for a series of smaller end-of-year recitals, to be hosted at All Hands Piano Academy. In our next newsletter, we will be opening registrations for these events. Details to come. Limited Time Offer For New StudentsFor the rest of August, we are offering free trial lessons with Lesleigh and Leo (normally valued at $33). If you have additional children, or friends who are thinking about lessons, now is the chance to book in for a trial! [Reminder] Important Info on our Website - Easy for you to find!βTerm dates, along with our absence form, and these fortnightly bulletins are now all available on our website. Don't forget that anyone can subscribe to our fortnightly bulletins. If you want to loop a second parent or caregiver in, please encourage them to subscribe. [Reminder] New Contracts and InvoicesInvoices have been issued. Remember that invoices are payable in partial contributions. Clients who were formerly paying Teaching Artist Rates should have received the Bridging Discount (details below). Please do not hesitate to contact me if you notice any errors on your invoice. 50% of balances will be due by the end of week 5 (Sunday 23rd August). The remaining 50% will be due by the last day of term (Sunday 27th September). Late fees ($50) will be incurred if balances are not paid by their due dates. [Reminder] Reintroducing Weekly Payments by Auto-charge (upon request)A few clients have requested to return to weekly payments. This option will be available upon request. Unlike previous weekly invoices, which would be paid within 2 weeks of issuance, clients will need to have a card on file, which will be auto-charged weekly. Additional fees will apply if a card is declined ($5 the first time the card is declined and $10 if a further follow up is required). To request to switch to this mode of payment, please email me (emma@allhandspianoacademy.com) and I will reissue your invoices. [Reminder] Ricordi - Available in Term 3We have an exciting new tool available to all interested clients. Ricordi is an app designed for AHPA by my husband, software engineer and drummer, Oli Nelson. It allows teachers to record lessons and then provides:
As we progress through Term 3, we will be inviting students and teachers to try Ricordi in their lessons. Participation is optional. If you are keen to try Ricordi sooner than later, please let me know (emma@allhandspianoacademy.com). Our goals are to improve communication between teachers and parents, increase practice quality between lessons, and create a central, reliable, accessible record of lesson activity. More features will be added to Ricordi to further improve the service we offer at All Hands Piano Academy. [Reminder] Important Fee Changes Active Now:AHPA is phasing out our current model of Senior vs Teaching Artists and moving instead to an "On-peak/Off-peak" model. *if you were paying Teaching Artist Rate in Term 2 (check invoices if unsure), please see the next section below* New Fees (for all students except those eligible for the Bridging Discount detailed below). Applicable from Term 3 2026 Off-Peak price: $59.95 for 30 mins Weekdays: lesson starts before 3:30pm or from 6:30pm Saturdays: lesson starts before 9am or from 1pm All day Sunday On-peak price: $66 for 30 mins Weekdays: lesson starts from 3:30pm and before 6:30pm Saturdays: lesson starts from 9am and before 1pm Prices will be determined by lesson start time (not finishing time). If you are currently scheduled during an on-peak window and would like to request an off-peak slot for term 3, please do so ASAP so we can prioritise your request! [Reminder] Bridging Discount (for students who were paying Teaching Artist Rate in Term 2):If you enrolled with Polina or AmΓ©lie prior to Term 2 2026, or with Leo prior to June 2026, you have - until this term - been paying the Teaching Artist Rate ($52.25 for 30 mins). In Term 2, Polina and AmΓ©lie were promoted to Senior Teaching Artists, but we did not raise prices for existing students. Leo was advertised as a Teaching Artist from Term 2 when he began lessons with us. Therefore, to avoid a sudden and large increase in your fees, we are offering the following fees for the remainder of 2026. New Fees for students formerly paying Teaching Artist Rate Applicable from Term 3 2026 [Bridging Discount] Off-Peak price: $55 for 30 mins Weekdays: lesson starts before 3:30pm or from 6:30pm Saturdays: lesson starts before 9am or from 1pm All day Sunday [Bridging Discount] On-peak price: $57.75 for 30 mins Weekdays: lesson starts from 3:30pm and before 6:30pm Saturdays: lesson starts from 9am and before 1pm. Please note, from Term 1 2027, all clients will be subject to the (higher) prices detailed in the previous section. [Reminder] Saturday Afternoon Group Class: Expressions of Interest OpenIf you have younger children who are looking to start lessons at All Hands Piano Academy, you may be interested in the group class we are proposing: Duration: 45 minutes Email emma@allhandspianoacademy.com to express interest. [Reminder] New Refer-a-Friend PolicyOur refer-a-friend policy has changed, starting from this term. From now on, you will receive a $10 discount (unlimited times), applied to your next invoice, every time a new client puts your name in the "how did you hear about us" box prior to purchasing a trial lesson. All you have to do is tell your friends to mention your name when signing up (send them here https://allhandspianoacademy.com/contact_us).
