Issuing Invoices and Booking Appointments for Term 2

I will be issuing your invoices and creating recurring appointments for Term 2 in the coming week. In case you missed the update in the previous bulletin, we will no longer be issuing weekly invoices. Instead, you will receive a single invoice for the entire term with the option to make partial contributions as you see fit (for example, weekly instalments). Late payment fees will also apply. Scroll down to read more details about this policy change.

Your enrolment automatically rolls over to next term unless you express in writing your wish to discontinue or change your lesson times. As the majority of students continue at the same time on the same day when the new term rolls over, we have found it easier to ask you to notify us if you want to make changes, rather than asking all clients to confirm their re-enrolment separately. If you wish to change or cancel your enrolment, please email admin@allhandspianoacademy.com before the new term commences.

Term Dates & Public Holidays

The first day of Term 2 is Monday 20th April. Unless otherwise discussed, there will be no lessons scheduled on public holidays Saturday 25th April, Monday 27th April or Monday 8th June (which was previously overlooked - apologies).

To those of you who have requested to have your lessons as normal on the Anzac Public Holidays - I will be in touch shortly to confirm whether your lesson will go ahead on those days.

All term dates for 2026 are now viewable here.

Mid-Year Recital + Teacher Showcase Line Up Confirmed👍

We have reached our required numbers to go ahead with our mid-year recital. Thanks to all who have expressed interest!

The next bulletin will contain official registration and ticketing details. Everyone who has expressed interest will also be emailed separately about registration so that you don't miss it.

If you haven't yet expressed interest but would like to participate, you can simply wait for the next newsletter and register using the links that will be supplied.

We are so grateful to Neon, Leah and Amélie, who will be performing as part of the Teacher Showcase...stay tuned because we may have more teacher sign-ups yet!

I will also get on stage to accompany our debut AHPA choir performance! I am working on an original song which will be our AHPA anthem...it will be lighthearted, easy, and a lot of fun. All students who perform solo will also be expected to take part in the choir, unless otherwise discussed (please reach out to me if you think you think your child should not participate in the choir performance for any reason).

Any students who are too shy or not ready to perform solo are warmly invited to participate in the choir only.

I will be distributing a recording and lyric sheet to all participants and teachers to ensure ample time to learn and practice the song.

Details for the recital are below:

Mid-Year Student Recital + Teacher Showcase
What: A shared recital event featuring student performances alongside performances by our teaching staff.
When: Saturday 27 June, 4:00pm–6:30pm
Where: Turramurra Uniting Church.

Welcoming Rhatwo and Leo

Welcome to our new teaching artists Rhatwo Pasaribu (piano and violin) and Leo Chin (piano and flute), who will be beginning in Term 2. Read about Rhatwo and Leo on our Teachers Page.

Cancellation Form is renamed to Absence Form

It has occurred to me that the term “cancellation” is confusing as we do not really offer the opportunity to "cancel" your weekly lessons. The new terminology will be “absence policy” and “absence form”. As per previous terms, the options to request a reschedule, take your lesson online, or have your teacher spend the time preparing learning materials for the student, will remain available to you in the event that the student cannot attend their weekly lesson.

[reminder] Policy Change No 1 - Single Invoices

From now on, we will not be issuing weekly invoices. Instead, we will issue a single invoice for the entire term.

Partial payments will be enabled, so clients may opt to pay the invoices incrementally (for example, weekly contributions) if preferred.

If paying by bank transfer, please always forward a transaction receipt to emma@allhandspianoacademy.com so that I can mark the contribution on your invoice swiftly.

Please note: Early Enrolment discounts were available for term 1 only.

[reminder] Policy Change No 2 - Late Payment Fees

Due to the ongoing administrative burden of chasing up unpaid invoices, late payment fees will apply from Term 2 onwards. Thank you for your understanding ☺️.

50% of the term balance (detailed on the invoice) will be due by the end of week 5 of the school term. Failure to pay 50% of the balance by this date will incur a $50 late fee.

100% of the term balance will be due by the last day of the school term. Failure to pay 100% of the balance by this date will incur a $50 late fee.

Once the term is finished, additional late fees of $50 each will be applied for every 2 weeks that balances remain unpaid or only partially paid.

Reminders will be set up to alert you of upcoming deadlines regarding your payment.

[Reminder] Polina and Amélie Promoted to Senior Teaching Artists

Our fantastic teachers Polina and Amélie will be promoted to Senior Teaching Artists going forward, acknowledging their excellent teaching and accumulated professional experience. Fees for current students of Polina and Amélie are not subject to any changes in Term 2.

Refer-a-Friend Discount

From Term 2 onwards, our refer-a-friend discount will be changing. Existing clients will receive a $10 discount on their next invoice every time a new client mentions their name in the “how did you hear about us” field prior to booking a trial lesson.

[LAST CHANCE] Review Raffle

I will be announcing the winner of our review raffle shortly. If you'd like to go into a raffle to win a free lesson in Term 2, THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE to enter! Either:

  1. Publish a review on google and send a a screenshot to emma@allhandspianoacademy.com; OR
  2. Email your review + star rating (out of five) to emma@allhandspianoacademy.com

If you are comfortable doing so, please mention your teacher's name in the review ☺️

All reviews will be published on our website.

The winner of the raffle will be announced at the end of Term 1.

Many thanks for taking the time to read this ☺️
